Thread: Need help on Garmin Fishfinder

I have a 93 SV UHD fish finder that I can’t figure out a problem I am having. On the screen it comes up Sonar Recording transducer not found. I know transducer is connected. I don’t know if I selected something accidentally but I can’t get it to go off. Any suggestions. I have put a picture below. Thanks in advance.

There should be a tag near the plug of the transducer. Go in the menus and find transducer selection and be sure the correct transducer I’d is selected.

As far as recording thing I haven’t ever seen that. Is this a new unit?

I have had it about 4 years and this is first time I have seen this and it did it a few days ago. I think it is reading the right transducer but I’ll check that out. Thanks

What transducer do you have? If LS maybe you have selected the wrong one

It is a GT 54 and no live scope connected to it. It stands alone now. I have had it networked to another unit but it is not now. Thanks

Check all your connections. I’ve had a bad connection before that I believe gave a message like that.

I think the connections are ok. I forgot to mention this only happens when it is on simulator. I was putting it in simulator to try some different settings and this popped up. Thanks

Mine did that yesterday for the first time. Take it out of the cradle relock back in cradle and turn it back on fixed mine. A friend had that problem and ended up replacing the cradle because it had a bad plug.

Tried that and it didn’t change anything. I just used it on lake Thursday just find. This just comes up in simulator mode. Thanks

If problem is still there, call Garmin customer support. They have successfully assisted me with issues in the past. Good luck!
