Battled the wind on the lake this weekend, kept 7 Saturday and 8 Sunday. I didn’t catch a lot of small fish, to be honest I’ve been avoiding them like the plague. I’m getting better at deciphering what I’m looking at on the screen, keeps me from spending too long in a spot that’s producing dink after dink. The ones I’m catching have been pigs, just having to work for the. Right now. Weather was nice Sunday afternoon, but the wind was pretty rough both days. Wind has definitely been dictating where I fish, and it blew hard out of the east both days. We hunkered down and fought the waves, beats workin I guess. Caught our fish on 1/32-1/16 oz jigs of assorted colors, mainly vertical. Water was 55°-59° and had good color, the porridge is just right. Maybe this is the week the fish cooperate.
