How many on here fish spoons for crappie ? How do you prefer to fish them and what size would best fit your method. I fished ice spoons over a green light other night. Used a very slow drop and jigged it just outside the light circle. Mine were plain old chrome but when they hit it you knew they were there. Just curious how many folks still use those these days.

I have fished silver/chrome or gold spoons in deep water (20-25') during the summer months. Usually let the spoon fall to desired depth, jerk up 4-5' and let fall back down. Crappie usually hit on the way down. sometimes it is hard to detect the bite. Has worked good at times. Good luck with it!
Yes, as a matter of fact, I do have a retirement plan...FISHING!
