I don’t post every update from every trip I make but why not on this one, yesterday mornin we had the lake to ourselves. The rain never showed up and the weather was perfecto, and caught fish from start to finish.
I fished above the “no ski buoys” @ Chowning for the first time since spring, found a deep ledge toward the dam were fish were holding on certain trees. Vice been experimenting with jig pitching and I’ve fell in love with it. They only hit on the fall or the swim by for me, and my buddy was fishing with a float and caught just as many. So I’d say whatever technique you dig will probably work, you just have to be prepared to move. These fish are as consistent right now as they are at any time, and I thought people used to write articles about summer time crappie just to sell jigs lol.
Y’all be safe and enjoy it if you make it out…they are still biting and I know I should be tight lipped but there are plenty of big fish in the ville, you just have to work for em.
