I'm still not sure why the fish are hunkered down in the brush so tight, with water temps where they are ... any ideas ?? On my last trip and this past trip I found myself running to what I thought was a brushpile in the distance, on my Livescope screen, only to find out it was a massive school of Shad. Even they were much deeper than what I'd think they'd be at this time of year, and at these water temps.
Not sure about it honestly. Definitely a different fall this year. For me anyways. Seems everything is running behind schedule compared to last year. We found 15 keepers on Robinson creek end last Sunday evening tight in a lay down. So we took that approach yesterday. That said I’m still learning. I’ve pretty much always been a “spring fisherman” until last couple years since I have my own boat now. Still figuring a lot of things out myself. ??*??
