Woke up at 6 and they were already parking in the upper lot at Holmes Bend. A whole lot of people can’t park a boat trailer between the lines and that limited the number of spaces and the single cars parking in trailer lanes. Traffic was busy but the lines at the ramp flowed decently all things considered.

Water temps had warmed 3 degrees in 24 hours to 60 this morning. Scratched a limit together, but the evening bite was much better once the traffic cleared out. Mud line was working it’s way down out of the river. We ran up to the 551 bridge and it was still super muddy. White crappie staging deep in 40+ FOW were absolutely stuffed with eggs so there are a lot of fish that haven’t made the push yet. We also ran into some large schools of 6” crappie so we definitely had a good spawn last year.

That's what I've been hearing about ... them staging out in deep water (20+fow) ... what's up with that

Wannabe and I witnessed the same parking fiasco over at Taylorsville Lake, yesterday. Boats being put in at a decent rate, but then having to park in the overflow lots at the tops of the hills meant it took awhile before the boats could actually leave from the courtesy docks. Lots of boat trailer tires over the yellow lines, making it all but impossible to get a vehicle & trailer in that spot. And so many bank anglers there that some vehicle/trailer spots were taken up by two vehicles (w/o trailers).

C.P. you forgot to mention that Possum Ridge was no better. It would've been total chaos if they didn't have someone from the Marina at the ramp to direct traffic. Man what a mess.
