My best speed has been 1.8mph but with that cold front that moved in 1.6 seemed better. Try the Jenko cranks. Jenko Fishing They are a little different body. sorta have an edge on top on each side. If you are trolling with your big motor try a trolling plate to slow you down abit!!

I normally put on 3 Jenko and 3 Pico on the 6 rods I troll with, they've been pretty much dead even on catch rate. I'm still experimenting with some others, like the Bomber 6A and a few of those cheap H20 baits from Academy.

I'm trolling with a Terrova, using the cruise control and advanced autopilot with my iPilot Link system. I usually start at 1.5 mph and adjust up or down....usually if I catch one while making a turn it gives me a good indicator on whether or not to slow down or speed up.
