Unique Ky Deer

Great deer! I shot a pie bald doe years ago with my bow, but it burned up at the taxidermist shop! They are unique looking! Congrats!Originally Posted by Seekbigger
Well I've been deer hunting some after about a 15 year break from it. I was looking to take a really big one or a really unique one and just after daylight this morning this little unique fellow came by my bubby chasing a doe, he was also after the same type of trophy as my self. I heard one shot ring out, then another and then another, I began to look across his direction and see a streak of white and brown cutting across the bean field. My first thought was he has scared that cow to death, lol, I then looked through my scope and seen what the commotion was all about, it had horns. I then decided if he would shoot I would shoot so I took a steady hand, a deep breath, as it was a tough 200 yard shot through some timber, across a bean field and squeezed the trigger. In my scope I saw a big kick from both back feet and figured it was a good hit. After waiting 30 mins we both climbed down and he started down his firing lane looking for blood and I done the same, he didn't find a thing, I made it to where the Deer was standing and sure enough blood and hair. I looked over the hill and there he laid, some might not consider this a trophy but my family and I have hunted all our lives and never saw one, so to us it is as much a trophy as a Boone and Crockett. After reading about these deer they are called a piebald deer which is a genetic disorder and there are only about 2% of them among the whitetail populaton. After careful examination we found where my bubby hit one of the horns with a bullet, left a graze mark across the antler haha.
