    Default kentucky lake report

Went down on fri.3/30 till 4/2 had a great time , went out with a freind of whiskers ,The Old Guide . He sure knows the crappie,( Fish Tales Guide Service 765 277 0395) . We caught 2 crappie near the 2 lb. limit, and brought home a real nice mess of fillets , I learned a lot by just going out with him ,We were using road runners with curly tail over brush piles ,and casting the banks 3ft. to 10 ft. Highly recommend his service for a day, then go for it on your own. He won the usa tournament last year , class act on top of that .Good luck and keep your line in the water.

I prefer just 1/8 oz jigs tipped with a minnow sometimes. I usually put a little weight ablve the jig to keep it down. Sometimes I use a double jig rig. Use drift socks to controll your speed & remember the shallower the fish are the longer the pole. Once they are up above 8' deep I like to use my 14' poles to get the bait further away from the boat. :D

you have to put your lines in the water and watch the end of the pole for a bite.

I know you have a hard time setting the hook.....

    Good luck
