I took my oldest out fishing on the Ohio this morning. We had some left over grilled chicken we used for bait. Crappie wouldn't bite it, but she had fun catching catfish, and riding to Louisville and back.

I've worked weekends for years, and have just started having them off recently. I am now a firm believer in weekday fishing, but getting out early helps. When we hit the ramp this morning in Westport, there was only one other person there. When we came back in at 11 and it looked like a pleasure boat show, with some frighteningly small tow vehicles. One guy had a little Mercedes SUV pulling about a 30' cabin cruiser.
