I am convinced that the fish pick up a "signature" of wake,vibration from the lure. Exactly how that lure feels to them can make the difference between not even looking at it,to following behind it only to break off,shortstrike it,or attack it.

The bass pro's were figuring all this stuff out over the last forty years. The smallest most subtle thing made the difference between a win or a loss. The pro's were constantly tweaking and trying anything to make that difference between making that lure irresistible.

If there was ever a time when you thought all that stuff did not apply to crappie at least to some degree...well........
