Rough vs Nolin
Looking for suggestions here. Haven’t fished crappie all year and headed out in the next week or so. Not looking to keep any just some action, I’m taking a young’n Out so I probably won’t fish a bunch myself. With that said, opinions on which lake is fishing better right now, rough or Nolin? Are they almost all post spawn? Any little bit helps as I’ll be limited on time. Not looking for specifics or spots, just general info. Thanks in advance for any info!!

Both lakes are similar. Best bet would be brushpiles put out by KY fish and wildlife. You can get on their website and get the coordinates. Early in the morning, find brush that the tops are 8-10 ft deep in 12-14 fow. As the sun comes up around mid day, may need to fish deeper- 12-14 ft deep in 16-18 fow. Lots of fish will be post spawn. I'm still catching some that have eggs. Nolin will have more brush coordinates available than rough.

yes Nolin does have more brushpiles to find them you can go to Fishing status and they have maps and coordinates also can download and transfer to your gps if you want

Appreciate the info guys! I think that should get me going. I have an older Hummingbird 898 with lake master...is that even capable of the gps update? I have no clue honestly I’m just getting used to it.
