Rich - You must be extraordinarily lucky then. Read the posts by some of then other Kentucky & Barkley Lake guides who fish the lakes all year round and are finding what keepers they do find are slat thin and most have nothing in their bellies. One even found one with a pebble in its gullet.
Being a fan of shallow water pitching a jig at stick-ups, I have not been out yet this year, but follow the reports here on CdC.

Fish hard live hard.
I never once said they were not a problem. I'm catching as many crappie as I have since I moved here permanently in 2009. Just my opinion. Anybody who doesn't like it can come out on my boat and catch fish with me. End of story

I was there March 24-30 . I have been fishing Ky lake for 20 years. The Carp are slowly creating a problem. This is the first year I had them jumping by my boat. I Fish the same time and places every year. My Lowrance HDS units filled up with ????? Carp. They must be eliminated. I don’t know how. But I think my money will be spent somewhere else next year. Electric shock for about a month with commercial fishermen picking up the fish.
