Yes, if purchased before March 1st, you can get your license at the 2017 price.

Even if they had gone to $18 - it still would have been a pretty good deal.
Anybody who complains about $12 hasn't bought a crank-bait lately.

The dealer I bought my license from today is not a happy camper ...

He had to buy a computer, printer, paper, etc ... just to sell KY license that he makes nothing on ...

Just wait a couple of years, here in Indiana they went to selling licenses via computer that you can order on line or have to walk in a bait shop and all the shop owners had to get computers and internet hook ups to sell. Now the state charges addional charges for processing and 2%credit card processing driving the prices higher that the original cost of the license. It’s the only way you can buy a license now via computer so they can tack on all the charges they want to process your license as they got you. When you play, you pay, as the old saying goes, but what a rip.

I purchased my Kentucky non resident fishing license today and it was $50 bucks, since it was going to be on a big sheet of paper I decided to go ahead and purchase my Hunting license and deer permit and migratory game bird stamp, wowsers $325 total. You really tax the outa staters!

I wish they would issue you a credit card type of thing for your license info. With a number on it that stays with you for life. When ever you purchase your yearly license it could be loaded to that card just like when you make a payment or something.
    It is what it is!

Rickie - I was getting ready to post the same thing. Some of the places that you used to buy your license may have opted to not sell them this year because of the cost associated with having a computer and printer dedicated to selling. However the last few years I have just purchased mine directly from fish and wildlife's website it is a very easy process. I then print it, fill it out and cover it with clear packing tape to protect it.

What store/tackle shops don't have a computer and prinyrt in the office?
If they take credit/debit cards they already have internet.
    Don't believe " I don't make a dime off license " ,unless it's changed they get $1 per license

I haven't found a bait shop around Barren River Lake that is selling licenses. After talking with the owner of one I was told that the state would no longer be using the old system and would require each location to be responsible to set up and produce a license from their own location. I wound up getting mine at Walmart when I found out they still sold them.

Not so fast! Not sure about Indiana but to hunt in Illinois it costs me about twice to license up. There should be some sort of reciprocal so that whatever state you come from you pay the same.
