I predominately spider rig into the wind for boat and speed control.If the wind is so bad I can't go into it then I am usually bummed about the wave action making my rigs bounce so I'll move. It may just be my lack of confidence but I believe I rarely catch anything with my rigs bouncing, from chop or wakes. I usually head to a creek arm or upstream to where I can find calmer water. I seem to remember reading in my Capps and Coleman book where they added water and weight to the front of their boat to dampen the bounce in a tournament. I just move as I don't fish them, and am just fun or freezer fishing.
