I was heading there in the morning. What depth were you fishing?

I forgot what a thump was by the end of the day. Take a jig and swim away. Finally wound up with 20 or so nice ones. But what a light bite. Vertical jigging single pole 1/32 white and anything jig.

20 or so ft of water over over mostly KDFW brush piles mid lake. Fish were maybe 1-2 ft. Off the bottom with a slow retrieve, last week much more aggressive. But not today.

Pretty much the same for me. Haven't been in 2 weeks but they were thumping hard then. Caught allot of dinks. But got a limit.

Pretty good day today. The thump was definitely there. All the fish I cleaned were full of minnows. Some of the bigger ones just left the line limp.

How deep where the fish and did you use minnows or plastic?
Just curious..... I went today and did terrbile. 4 keepers in 6.5 hrs !!! About the only thing I could catch was in 20 fow or more and fish near the bottom Using plastic , casting and tight lining
15-20 fow. Nothing but jigs.

With the tournament on Barren, I headed for Nolin this morning. Marked fish in behind redrock but couldn't find any takers on either minnow or jig. Pulled up Fish & Wildlife on my phone , found Nolin map on my phone and hovered over a big brush pile in 20 fow. Found some dandy crappie an a few bass.
Everything is possible. The impossible just takes longer!
Appreciate the feed back... Thats they way I like to fish , plastic casting and tight line. I do well on Green but Nolin just kicks my butt.
I keep going back trying to figure out what I am doing wrong.
Do you fish on the F&W beds?
