Hi all -

I'm from N.KY but thinking of making an adventure of it and driving the 3.5-4 hours to Fishtrap Lake for a 2 day camping/fishing trip this fall. I've never been to that part of the state and heard the lake has some nice crappie. At 1,100 acres, I won't learn it in 2 days for sure, but figure I have a better chance than heading to a bigger body of water that I know nothing about.

I heard the lake can be 'trashy' at certain times of the year. Would 2nd or 3rd week of October be a good time of year to go? Was looking forward to a mix of trolling and jig fishing.
