When we were living in Gulf Shores we bought a used HOSHIZAKI KM201 ice maker from a food service reseller that was virtually new but had a missing stainless side panel. We had $1,200 in it by the time I plumbed it into my garage but it made 200lbs of crescent cube ice per day. Our return on investment was a little over two years because of the amount of ice we were using and market price for a 20lb bag. I like the tiny cubelet ice better but we couldn't find a used maker that had the chest style hopper where you could scoop large amounts of ice at a time.
