You qualify for access if you are retired/active military or work for the Department of Defense. Its an amazing bass/crappie lake, if you meet the requirements highly suggest you give it a try.

I'm a vet and I'm "retired" ... but, that doesn't qualify as "retired military"

How much does the "background check" cost these days ??

My background checks for my Coast Guard credential and my KY Commercial Guide License were $20 and I got a copy.

Website says $35/yr for the "pass" (background check), valid drivers license, and valid KY fishing license are required. What it doesn't say, is if the yearly "pass" is from date of purchase or if it's just for the days of the current year.
