Website says $35/yr for the "pass" (background check), valid drivers license, and valid KY fishing license are required. What it doesn't say, is if the yearly "pass" is from date of purchase or if it's just for the days of the current year.

The background check was free, I didn't get a copy as its done to determine eligibility. I paid 35 dollars for the year to help go for the boats and equipment they provide. Well worth it!!!

Let me back up Pappy. My KY Guide license required a $20 KY State Police background check . My TWIC card was thru dept of Homeland Security and cost me $128.
