A fine choice! I have had my BGJP 143's for four years now I think and have not broken a tip. And not for lack of trying! Lol. I have bent the rods clean under the boat a time or two. I can be tough on gear at times. The only tip I have broken was a 12 pst that went between the boat and the dock.
