Green River Lake
Launched @ Emerald Isle about 10 this morning. Jigged 3 brush piles, 2 @ 18' &1 @ 30'. Caught 10 dinks, but it was fun, especially the deep ones. The bite @ 30' was just a "snick". Hit 2 Bluegill beds with crickets and wax worms. We caught 24 keeper gills and a nice white crappie with his tuxedo on.
Fished with my wife, she's a little bit of extra work, but what a beauty of a day!
Did not see any dead crappie as Crappie Habits had mentioned earlier this week. Water was very cloudy.
Most of the gills I catch at GRL tend to be small. I have fished from 8-2' deep. Occasionally catch a hand sized one. Any tips would be appreciated.

Just saw a reply from "Skinny" (Kenny Patterson) on Facebook ... and he said there was more than just Crappie floating, and he's talking about from one end of the lake to the other. And it's probably "shock" from the high water temps causing stress. According to the COE .... water temps at the dam are nearly 80deg all the way down to 15' deep, and that appears to be where the thermocline is setting up. Was on the Smith Ridge side again this morning. Not seeing any more dead fish so that is good. Fish were pretty aggressive on the bite this morning. Caught 15-18 on cranks. Had about 10 keepers. Then graphed some fish on some deep brush. Pulled the cranks and started jigging. Pulled out probably 30 with 20 being keepers. Didn't keep them all. Kept 16 good fish. 13 3/4" being the best.
