I did the same thing Casey did. I had a battery just for the crappie light that way I didn't have to worry about running down a starting or trolling battery and being stuck.

Casey, Where do you mostly night fish for Bass? I fish several times a month out of Ky. Dam.

Old Guide
Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Old Guide I think the time to start fishing at night is March 30th and if it is good till april 2nd , that would be just fine . Ha
I usually just take off out of Blood River since that is where my cabin is at. I've thrown a lot of things, but my go to is a big single short armed Colorado blade black spinnerbait w/ a pork chunck. Nothing like having a 4 lbs. smallie jumping all over the place in the dark. It is unbelievable how quiet the lake is on a busy summer weekend at night. However, be extremely careful as I've been caught in the fog multiple times where you can't see 10' in front of you (makes for a very long & slow ride back to the dock). Sure makes you appreciate a GPS though. What is your "GO TO" bait for summer nights?Originally Posted by EDDY CREEK BANDIT
