Default Tough bite this weekend at Ky lake

We really struggled at Ky Lake this weekend.
Tried pulling jigs, casting banks, minnows and pulling cranks. Nothing seemed to produce .storms chased us off water a couple days. Fished 1/2 day saturday, Sunday and 1/2 Monday. Only had 25 keepers and a bunch of shorts.

We were slamming them on cranks late in the week. Thursday and Friday we had 2 pounders. Saturday the wind from SE really limited the places we could fish and all the trash in the lake (leaves/sticks) made it absolutely certain if you weren't watching your lines, they were tangled.

We talked a guy in johnathon who said same thing about Thursday and Friday. But said he couldn't buy a bite on them after that and went back to jigs and that was slow.
One day then time to head home.

I didn't get to fish much, just a few hours each afternoon, but I will agree. The fish wasn't biting good or I was fishing in the wrong places, I was on them Thursday. Good luck Kydog! Maybe you will get on them today!

You guys are fishing the wrong places. I could post three weeks worth of photos with my limits every day after my first day there. Won't reveal exactly where I was fishing but I fished deep BrushPile's every day. I got very few casting banks. Very few. They may be moving up this week but the deep brush is still holding lots of good fish. Here's what I'm fishing and what I'm catching there. And almost every pile I fished for the last three weeks held slabs.

I haven't been out the last few days but last week I was doing best in 12-15' foot of water.
My grandson was down here from Illinois last week. He always wants to spend his spring break crappie fishing with me. We waded through a lot of short fish but caught plenty of nice ones to keep it interesting.

Good job guys, I'm glad somebody's getting them, thanks for the tip, are you able to catch fish in the 20'+ range most all the time?

I really haven't fished that deep lately but after seeing chaunc's post I'm going to check that depth again.
