    Default Barkley 4/4/17

Without a doubt the prettiest day I have had the chance to get out this year. Also the first day in a while for me the wind hasn't dictated where I could fish. Would like to say I burned them up like everyone seems to be doing but wasn't the case for me. Caught a limit but it wasn't easy. Half from 10-13ft, half from 19-20ft nothing doing in between. Tried some shallower, nothing going on there either, but my boat thinks it's lost when I try to fish shallower than 10ft anyway. No real bruisers but a few pretty solid fish.

Sorry you haven't been feeling well Buddy and sorry we didn't get a chance to talk. I saw you back in that one bay later when I pulled in and figured I would see you again before we went in but I ended having to run quite a bit further up the lake than I wanted to finish off my limit.

I am not sure if they are scattered or if more than normal haven't run up on the banks all at once and we are fishing for stragglers. Guys pitching the banks and dragging jigs/spider rigging shallow seem to be doing well. Oh well, I'm content to do my thing and enjoy my time when I get to get out. Hope to see you soon my friend.

Ky Lake is the same guys. In the last 4 days we have caught good fish pulling planer boards in water as shallow as 2.5 feet then yesterday my clients caught 30 keepers pulling cranks in 12-20 feet. If they had boated all the keepers we had almost to the net it would have easily been a solid double limit.

Lots of the fish are females that have runny eggs, both shallow and deep.
