Crappiepappy, thanks for the advice. I do jig fish a lot, I like the Kalin's Jigs. The Tennessee Shad seems to work the best for me. Just like to have minnows with me, especially on a new lake I've never fished. You are correct, if the dang lake is loaded with Crappie, probably won't need the minnows. The video I saw on this lake(I think 6 years ago) had a conversation from one of DNR officers basically saying that he wished people would come to the lake and help catch/keep their limit of the small crappie. Will see if they are still there when I get a chance. Also, interested in the Bluegill, but wax worms should work OK for this.
