Thread: Anybody going?

I'll be heading out early in the morning to Green River Lake. It's not going to be the best of weather, water is still fairly cold, and the lake is still at winter pool, but I've got to get out of the house!

The last time I was on a boat (actually in water) was on Lake Cumberland in October. I've really got cabin fever so if I'm cold, not catching fish, and bored.....I'll be happy. At least I'll be out of the house.

If the fish don't cooperate, this will primarily be a scouting trip to look for and mark cover for when the lake returns to summer pool in the coming months.

With the water a cold as it is, try fishing the south facing shores especially if its sunny. Last two years started the season just after ice out and had pretty decent success. I know all lakes are different, but most fish were't that deep,12' deep in 25 fow and in wood cover. Good Luck if you make it.

taylorsville had alot of ice monday but i heard it was all gone, the reports say its at winter pool and has been that way for awhile, thats good, i will be their sat and sunday, i need to get a few fillets im out. good luck.
