GRL 10/4/16
Fished GRL today. Had trouble finding minnows as one shop was out and a couple places don't open until 9 or 10 am. We fished around Goat Island. Most fish were in 17-24 FOW around brush. Managed to catch ten fat keepers. Was windy mid morning and ended up going up Robinson Creek around noon. A lot of shad in the area but no crappie to be had. We caught only two fish on jigs and they were tipped with minnows. The water temp was in the mid 70's. We left around 4:00 pm. By that time the wind had calmed and folks were on their pontoons headed out for some early evening fishing. Was a weird October day with temps in the low to mid 80's. Water had some color but was fine for October.

My wife and I made it out Sunday and we found a few at 4ft in 10ft of water, holding tight to brush. Also picked up some trolling close to the rock walls in 6 ft. of water.
