Thread: Anxious for the fall bite

This has been a long hot summer and I'm as anxious now as I was when a boy, when dad would say, its almost fishin time boy. The heat was hard on my tomatoes this year too. The weatherman caught my ear when he said that we may have some night time lows in the 40s in a few weeks. I hit a deer that totaled out my boat puller a few weeks back and we're down to one for a few more days while we wait on the insurance company to turn loose of my check. Don't think they'd be as patient waiting on mine. While I'm waiting I'm working on making some beds to drop and fish out of. Keep running the work boat over spots just off a channel that drops 10'-15', working the numbers in my head so when the lake drops 24' to winter pool the beds will be in 10' of water. Now if I can shut that off when I go to bed at night. LOL we're cursed. Come on fall bite.
