Thanks speck. Friday evening my father, brother, cousin and I went out of alfrey. We sat over a few tree piles and caught a lot of white crappie but more blue gills. Don't know the true total but only five keeper, between 10 and 13" on the crappie. Friday we were out 6pm to 11pm, and it was a beautiful night.
Saturday we went out at Scott's creek which was a huge mistake. The lake was over populated with jet skiers and ski boats. I don't blame them, with the awesome weather, but we should have launched off a more southern ramp. Live and learn. Saturday morning we fished Adams point, and hooked up and few largemouth and one smallmouth. The rest of Saturday was rough with very few bites, no matter which cove or point we went to. A few keepers on Saturday.
All in all was a wonderful trip, especially when you can't go 15 minutes without laughing at your boat mates. Cave run water was around 85 degrees and about 4 feet visibility, the clearest I have ever seen it.
Sorry no photos, to share and the video is for family eyes only. Still learning the lake but felt we should have caught more but still an awesome 1 1/2 days!!!
Tonight, taking the nephews to bullock pen! Making more memories!
My success in life is measured by the number of fishing stories that my family can share with others.
