Thanks, TG .... I did not know that. (Google Maps image is 3yrs old )

I usually don't use minnows, and I don't always go to Green by way of Campbellsville. If/when I do go to Green ... I would get them at Green River Bait/Grocery, since it's on my way to Holmes Bend.

What about the Marathon station across the road ?? .... Google Maps (2013 image version) shows a "Live Bait" sign on the fence.

The gentleman at the Tackle Shop is pretty nice and usually has good intel on the fishing. Minnows are reasonable and usually very lively.

I've purchased minnows at the Resort too. Most of the time they were not open real early in the morning.

Well, one of my crank pusher buddies gave it a try .... and only managed 8 keepers. (his worst showing this year)

Pappy, the Marathon station went out of business too. It's now Lake Cumberland CDL training school for folks to get a CDL.

Dang !! Well, in that case ... what are the alternatives for that area, other than the two places at the entrance to the park ??

That's all I know of in the Lone Valley area plus the Marina.

I'm going down Wednesday for a few days. I'll check around to see if any other establishments near Cville have filled the void.

Thanks, TG ... from all concerned !! That info could be very helpful for those that choose to fish that end of the lake, and go by the outdated internet info for their minnow purchases.

Appreciate a general info report when you get back, too. Have fun, be safe, and luck2ya !!
