    Default CDC And Friends

I had a no win situation today, stuck with no means of getting back to the ramp. There was one boat in the immediate area for nearly 2 hours and they were out of state and down to their trolling motor power only.
I phoned a friend. Do you know of anybody that might just be fishing today? Hold that thought and give me a few minutes.
Moments later the dispatcher scored and my rescue boat would be arriving in about 30 minutes!

This site has brought many positives to my life. New friends, new views, experiences, challenges and rewards. I am sure if others had known of the predicament I was in, they would have responded also.

Dean and Chris, thanks guys for your help today. It's truly appreciated. I owe you guys!!

You are most welcome and you don't owe me anything, I was happy to help. I hope you get your problem resolved. I'm still shocked that I had the will power to load the boat back up and go home and mow the yard instead of staying and fishing.

The feeling of being on the water stranded isn't a good one. I have pulled people in several times and have been pulled in myself. Mrdux dropped everything once and rescued the wife and I last year. Glad you were pulled in and when it's a friend and or cdc member it's icing on the cake. Hope you get the boat bug fixed that marooned you.

Dean called me to see if I was at the lake. I was not. Or I would have been on my way.

Still investigating the problem. But for what was supposed to be brand new Interstate batteries, I used a half gallon of distilled water to get all 3 back "full".

Not sure at this point if its the batteries or the on board charger.

I am also on the water alot and my boat stays in the water. 2702057603 Just call and I'd help ya out if at all possible. Been on both ends and they both suck but part of the game. Last week I saw a boat tip over and tossed the guy a line and my square float to tlow him back to his boat. They were being towed by a bigger boat and got pulled to the wake of big boat and flipped. Beer was involved on their end. My clients thought it was a cool adventure.

I am hoping that I had found my problem with the batteries. For one thing, what was supposed to be brand new Interstate batteries, I used a half gallon of distilled water to fill them up. Also, when my electronics were installed, they were ran off of the cranking battery.
So I took the cranking battery to get it load tested. Its a 600 CCA and tested at 697. Brought it home and also bought a new battery tray and strap.
Installed the tested battery as a dedicated cranking battery. Also installed one of my blue top Optima batteries for all accessories and electronics.
I had done some research as well, the Dual Pro 3 bank onboard charger can charge wet and AGM batteries simultaneously! Bi
End results, a total of 4 batteries are now in the boat. Everything seems to be working as of right now! Will find out come friday a.m.
