Them fish on Kentucky relate to the channels and shad most of the time and can keep you scratchin' your head . I read years ago about some guys had started long line trolling crankbaits and was catching some nice fish even in summer.Like you said it can get rough out there were you need to fish sometimes.

My wife caught a 17 3/4 " crappie below the dam in the river one day. It was on a rock ledge in 25ft of water....I didn't have scales with me at the time but it's one of the bigger crappie i have ever seen.
