    fish rr 9-3 to 9-7 water temp was around 84. fish in 14 ftw about 7 feet down. started fishing around 630 and off the water by 1100. fish had the nose to the wood. fish with slip float and minnows over the 5 days caught 28 keeper. throw back a lot of 9 inch fish biggest crappie was a 14 inch and a lot of 10 inches.

    Thanks for the report, Huffy.

    But, since ... thermocline has been around the 14ft depth since June, and the lake has stayed around Summer Pool since early Aug ... I'm wondering why they're nosing to the wood ?? They don't usually do that unless the water is falling, in my experience. Is the water really clear, so that they have to "hide" in the shadow of the timber ??

    Went out on Barren this morning after the rain passed and it was the same here. If you were more than 2' off the timber, nothing. Fished around 31e bridge pilings and found the same. 14' - 15' down.
    Everything is possible. The impossible just takes longer!

    sorry for getting back to CrappiePappy. they was on the east side over where the sun comes up. water drop about 3 degrees at night,
