Is Barkley still muddy, how deep are you finding them? Worse spring I've ever had for crappie fishing. Maybe it will be good for the fish since a lot of them didn't get caught this year. Hopefully it will be a good spawn if they will hold the water for awhile.

Still Muddy out here in the Little River Area, strange year for me too, one or two here and there, never any four, five or six from same hole? I caught a couple nice ones last night just before the rain, about 4 fow on structure, all on minnows.

Crappiehabits and myself fished northern Barkley Thursday and Friday. Thursday was terribly slow, we long lined and pulled cranks all day fighting the wind. Managed four keepers from daylight to dark. Water clarity was better than expected. Trash was moderate. Temp 60-66. Friday was much more calm. We spider rigged in 14-18 fow. The morning was slow for us. One fish here and there. Made a move out to a gravel bank about 11am and rigged out from that and were able to consistently pick up fish. Bite was still slow but steady from about one till four. That little shower come and shut em down. Fishin green and chartreuse tubes and baby bass tipped with minners. Kept twelve crappie. Only one under 14 ". Water temp never got over 61.6.
