We put in at the Fishing Creek ramp Saturday and didn't catch any. Every one we talked to said the same. Water was up a lot of trash floating.

The state had such a good write-up about the quality of crappie now at Cumberland, I thought I'd give it a try this summer. But don't know the lake. I know there are a ton of striper guides on Cumberland. Are there any crappie guides that anyone has used on that lake that they can recommend?

Fished last night 10-1:30 Water temp 65, fished minnows from 40 to 25 feet, very slow; caught 4 keepers, bonus 6 lb walleye. Broke off several times. More shad up than I have ever seen.

Was the shad under your light or on the bank? When they get on the bank, it is time for the top water striper bite.

Lower end of lake, Fishing creek, shad were under light, so thick couldn't tell bites because they kept hitting the line. Didn't hear any stripers hitting the banks.
