Well alright then...Happy New Year y'all. I fished Green Sat. and today. Did pretty good both days. Brought home a limit on Sat and only fished 3 hours today and had 19 keepers, 2 Walleye, 1 Catfish, and something that I never got to see. You know it had to be a Big one!!Actually, I was slow drifting a 1/16 tube jig in 20-25' of water, felt the "thump" and my rod tip went toward the water. I thought dang this is a good Walleye, then the line went slack, yeppers it took my jig and left town. Don't know what it was but it was a good "feeling" fish.
Right now the fish I am catching are in 20-30' of water holding somewhere around 17-25' deep. I am backing off the structure and casting beyond it. I count down the 1/16 tube jig to about 20-27 1/1000's, close my bail, and raise my rod tip to around 10 O'clock position. I let the tube fall slowly back toward the boat and every now and then I may tick the rod tip to make the jig "bonce". This is my favorite way to fish for them when they are deep. I LOVE THE "THUMP"!!
Good luck y'all.
