If you're ever down there in mid to late Apr ..... cast or troll a 1/16oz Chartreuse Roadrunner around the mud flats (at the end of the State Campground) and all along the "beach" (in front of the campground). If there's any Slabs in the area, looking for a spawning bed, you'll know about it REAL QUICK !!

That "big one that got away" could have been most anything .... Smallmouth, Muskie, Walleye, Catfish, Drum, Ky Spotted Bass, Largemouth, or a "Big Momma" Crappie :p .... sorry you didn't get it, but it's still there and you've got its attention/address, with your bait choice and method !!
