    Default So far bad Spring

Here in Eastern KY,the weather has been just terrible for fishing. Since Feb,been two floods. With so much rain and storms with lighting & thunder, seem's like everyday. With all the lakes being over summer pool, hard to get a fishing day in. Going to try get on some lake tomorrow but had lot of rain and storms last night and this morning. Got the fishing fever bad.

Not only been sick but the lake conditions here have been bad for longlining until just a few days ago.

If there is any consolation, the water temps are just now getting to where most of us thought they would be 2-3 weeks ago. It has slowed the spawn down so hopefully you still have time to get in on some good fishing.

Same thing up here where I'm at. River won't crest till Monday and chance of rain again next week. Water is so muddy now it looks like cardboard. I'm chomping at the bit.

I am averaging ten per trip pulling jigs. I don't know if that is good or bad. Yesterday the wind was really bad finally gave up at 3 had ten keepers. I am sure having a good time.

Central Kentucky has had our fair share of floods, 6' over summer pool, cold fronts, type A-1 flu, montazoma's revenge, poopin my brains out, hugging the porcelain recepticale, but still managed a few trips that worked out well. Got out yesterday and kept 13, two were just over ten, the two biggest were 15" and the rest fell in between. 63 degree water at 1:00 when I finished. The dogwoods are blooming. Does it get better than this?

I'm giving up on Cave Run for awhile heading to Watts Bar today for the week. The weather doesn't look good but I have got to drown some minnows somewhere.
