Default Good day in terrible conditions

High wind and a heckofva rainstorm started the morning here at KY lake. So bad it knocked the power out almost all the way to Draffenville I was told. Got a break in the weather around 10, so decided what the heck, I might as well go out. Wind had died down and the sun slightly peaked thru the clouds for a few minutes. Motored out to my spot and dropped anchor in 10ft water near brush. First cast, BAM... slab. Next cast, BAM... another slab. Then the sun disappeared and the wind picked up. Heard thunder in the background but decided to stick it out for a while. 5 slabs in the livewell and the sky opened up. Wind and rain so bad I had to run for cover. Headed to the marina and found an empty enclosed boat stall. Sat back and waited it out for 20 minutes or so then it at least stopped raining. headed to a different spot closer to the marina. Got set up with my 30 lb dumbbell anchor and started catching some more fish. Stopped biting there after 5 more fish so I moved down the lake a ways. Wind got so bad it was pushing my boat with that heavy anchor down but I managed to pick up my limit of crappies with some very nice size ones too. Fished an eighth oz roadrunner and twistertail in 8ft water to get them. Good day in some very tough conditions.
