That's a good one. Hopefully we won't be far behind up in my part of the country. Tough bite for me so far.

Good to get a positive report. It's about time they started moving in. Casting, tightlining, minnows, jigs????

Some were caught long lining Road Runners 7 to 12 fow, Some were caught near the bank, 2.5 inch curly tail, some were caught with minnow rigs. Today I caught 5 on black and chartrusse tube bait. So a little of everything. I will say this, the braided line works wonders on the light strikes. Tonight after the rain, they would barely tap it or pick it up and move with it, so if I did not have the braided line I think some of those light strikes may have gone undetected. I guess try different techniques until the bite.

I tried to fish yesterday in the high winds in double creek. Caught 6, all on minnows in 15-20 ft of water. I found a brush pile stacked with em but it was so windy there I couldn't sit on em.
