    I've caught them long lining right after dark when they really didn't turn on until right at dark. I can tell you one thing, it's heck trying to see a bite after dark with black rods.

    If ya'll are using hi-vis or clear blue/fluorescent lines, and you want to see them at night ... use a Blacklight and they'll look like ski rope !! Won't matter what color your rods are. And if you have the rod tips painted with fluorescent paint, it'll be even easier to see a bite !!

    I use mine to "worm fish" for Bass, at night ... but, plan on using them to shoot docks/pontoon boats at night for Crappie. I have a BPS model & a Stan Sloan model, and the cheaper BPS model does as good a job as the high dollar Stan Sloan.

    well pappy, my first trip was ok nothing to brag about........but I did put several ideals in my head probably try it again this week.....
