    Default Dale Hollow Bite

Fished the flats. We caught 28 good slabs by 1200 o'clock. They were in 23 to25 fow and about 15 to 18 feet deep. We used an assortment of colors but they preferred blue ghost baby shad by bobby garland tipped with a minnow. most were 13 to 15 inches with a couple 18 inchers thrown in and a 9 lb. channel cat to add some excitement to a 12 foot pole

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Thanks for info. Know those creeks, minnow fish both those for bass in fall of year. May have to make the run down that way and try for some of those DH slabs.

My cousin and I just made an offer on a piece of bug-out property and cabin way back in the sticks about 8 miles from that lake, outside Oneida. Can't wait to fish it. Have only heard good things about it over the years. Isn't the world record smallmouth from Dale Hollow?

Have been planning on fishing dale the next week or two, but getting a report like that may justify comeing this week. But I have to remember getting a report from a old navy man could be troublesome!! Glad to here your catching them, will have to check with you about the eye's and trout. Good to here from you. Can't believe I said that.
