    Default Cedar Creek Lake?

Drove down to check it out and was over whelmed with the beauty of the lake. Didn't have my boat with me but one look and I can tell it is a Lake I want to fish maybe late fall or next spring. Bout a 3 hr drive for me.
As I have seen and witnessed the big issue is a place to stay? Any body figured that out with in a reasonable drive.
    Camping or Hotel?

Couldn't believe all the standing timber that place has to be loaded with good fish.

Checked out two of the ramps easy to get to either and close to each other really. off 150
    any info appreciated

You didn't mention where you were traveling from, so for motels.
    north - Danville
    south - Somerset
    east - Mt Vernon
    west - 'good luck'

As for camping not a clue.

Here's some stuff that might help :

Ever since the baitshop/store & Bed/Breakfast & RV parking area closed ... I'm not aware of any accommodations close to the lake. I do know that people tent camp on the bank just down Boone Rd from the launch ramp near the dam. I also don't know how bad the "skeeters" are, but the chiggers & ticks are something to contend with !!

There's a thread about night fishing Cedar Creek for Crappie that may interest you. That would probably be the most productive way to go, this time of year. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/kentu...-fish-crappie/
