Has anyone heard what was the reason for the kill off of bighead carp below Barkley Dam a couple months ago ?

They said it was "gas bubbles". When they generate power it puts a lot of oxygen in the water and they are saying the carp can't get rid of the bubbles fast enough and it kills them. I am not sure I really believe it.

I think the silver carp were affected much more than the bigheads. Kill 'em all!!

Jim Doom guides below those dams. He said that they came from the lake and went through the turbines because they were tore up pretty bad......

I dought that they came thru the generators. The trash racks would stop most of them. The gap between them is only 5.25 inches.
