    Default decision on ky lake

Hi everybody, lookin for some advice on this coming Saturday, gonna fish with my son for first time this year and cant make up my mind if I wanna pull cranks or bluegill fish with moon on Friday? Had a great trip with the wife down there last month on the full moon.Used to fish a lot with my son but his job changed and I don't get to see him that much anymore and I have only been down once this year and like to put him on some fish but I have been putting my new alumacraft deep v together and have been a little behind on whats goin on down there this year. Will be staying at ken lake and usually fish the east side south of 68 bridge and blood river area. Last month we piled up the gills pretty good but in years past it seemed like the gill spawn was not as good in june. Thanks in advance for any input and by the way I absolutely love my new rig-its all I expected and more-thanks again

The lake is a foot over summer pool and that alone is going to mess up the shallow water gill/redear bite as they yank the bottom out out it. Discharge running w very high the next couple of days will pull the fish out to deeper water. It might help fishing if you have bedding fish on a point or deep drop but shallow fish are going to be off the nest.

Current on KY Lake is a good thing for summertime fishing but discharges over 100K typically make ledge fishing tough in my experience.
