Boy oh boy, I found an absolute hotspot redear hole this morning. We left them biting at noon...could've gone back and caught forty more this evening but headed home on the wife's orders! These two were a pound and ten ounces apiece, big fish for sure.
Nice!

Nice, couple of huge ones there
These we're found in about four feet of water in the middle of a small cove on north barkley. There was some isolated reeds or bushes that we're growing in the middle of cove and it was loaded with these big ole redear. They aren't next to the shore it seems, kind of weird how I found these in the middle of that little cove. They wouldn't hit a straight line either, just a cork and worm on bottom method.
I would be proud of them, nice job

I just wish I had stayed Monday night. I caught close to 20 of these in an hour Monday morning and it's a safe bet the evening bite would've been even better. It's very difficult to locate these big ones, especially in good numbers.
I told my wife we're sitting on a big money spot and that serious panfisherman would pay us a decent lick to turn this spot over to them that morning. I'm sure they've moved out of there by now. My five year old caught one out of there Sunday night and it was a little bigger than these fish. A lady at the dock said I had a world record "bluegill", I just laughed and filled with pride knowing my son had caught a monster.
