    Default Spider rig surprise!

When your spider rigging for crappie, set the hook on a bouncing rod tip and it takes drag and heads for the bottom, chances are it's not a crappie!

Flathead? Looks to be about 1/2 the size of the one that broke off next to my boat last Sunday. Good job getting it to the net.

I was lucky, it was on an outside rod. So how long after the spawn do you wait to start pulling crankbaits mrdux? I was able to find some 3oz tear drop sinkers to give it a go.

I usually start after I have gotten tired of chasing bluegills and redears.
