    Default Barren River for Spring Break


    1st trip ever to Barren next week. Any info for catching a few slabs there would certainly be appreciated. Minnows under a slip float, spider rigging or ????

    Several different techniques will probably be very effective for you during this time. Casting to lay downs along bluff walls and spider rigging flats should yield you some slabs. Good luck.

    There are some folks catching good numbers of slabs by spider rigging right now. Just gotta find them. Usually you can tell where they are by seeing 20 boats on top of one another. Make sure to have everything in boat (throwable, fire extinguisher, etc...) because I've been stopped by game wardens 3 trips in a row. Good luck.
