    Default Pick a Lake


    Throwing this out,give reasons to fish a certain lake,if distance from each were the same.Your likes and disikes.Trying to get ahead of the fishing graph.Relocating in near future.I will be begging for help when we are there.Barren,Green River,Nolin

    The big one without a doubt,even on a bad day you can allways put some fish in the boat,fished a lot of em and the quality of fish in ky lake is second to none!

    From reading reports on here Green and Barren are about the same as far as numbers of fish. Barren may get the slightest edge in terms of size but it can be hard to fish with the fluctuating water levels. But that also gives you the opportunity to spruce up your brushpiles and mark new ones every winter.

    Nolin is smaller but as I recall has some back bays with standing timber in them. Been a long time since I fished nolin.

    Depending on where you relocate Old Hickory in TN is not too far away and a non-res fishing license is not that expensive. It reminds me of Barkley. I'm still learning it but I like it because it doesn't get muddied up as easily as Barren.
